I woke up Christmas morning, and it was the first time I’d actually woken up at my parents’ home for Christmas in probably decades. We had a nice breakfast and soon Andy, Merit, and Tanner came over for opening presents.

Later, we had dinner, but time was ticking and I soon had to get over to Boise Airport, as I would be flying home that evening. It was a very short trip, but better than not visiting at all. As well, I hadn’t been home in over 10 days. I also needed to prepare for my next adventure, which would be heading to upper Idaho for New Year’s Eve festivities. I said farewell, hired an Uber ($60 + $12 Christmas tip) to get to Boise Airport, and flew home.

Back in Seattle, the ice storms were over and I decided to save some money and just take LINK back home. It was $3 total and way cheaper than all the other forms of transport I’d taken on this 11-day vacation.

    I rested well that night.
