Performed at a quaint theatre in Danville, California. My one and only G&S show to date. Would be nice to see more of these shows produced.
Enjoying the perks of outdoor theatre once again in Fremont, California. I had mainly wanted to play Oscar; however, Vittoria was a nice comic undertaking as well. In hindsight, the accent may have been a little cliche, but hey, it’s all part of the process.
Final performance at the Amador Theatre in Pleasanton. Definitely a Top 5 bucket list role. Making the “star” was a nice endeavour. Such a wonderful family cast as well.
Great experience at Las Positas College. So. Many. Lines. I hadn’t auditioned, but couldn’t turn down the role when offered. I also came to appreciate the musical more during my experience with it.
Some of the highest production quality I’ve been a part of. The shows at this company were outstanding. I mean, where does one even find realistic plastic corn stalks? It was my second-best set experience ever, only mildly surpassed by the epic outside stage for “Beauty and the Beast.”
Billy and his plans for his new daughter. Take a 10-minute monologue and turn it into a song? Well, R&H always liked a good challenge for an actor.
Little known comedy, but a wonderful show called “Once Upon a Time in New Jersey.” The college director always found terrific and eclectic musicals to produce.
Five minutes of scenes from the play. The show was done in “black and white,” which was an interesting and fascinating choice. Thankfully, they opted to forgo the black and white makeup.
Two minutes of the emotionally draining “Jekyll and Hyde” (play).
Some rehearsing in Pleasant Hill, California. Yeah, lots of padding for this character. And later, I would need much more padding for the Tin Man role.
A bit of comedy as there was ample down time. Nose from Etsy. Axe from Amazon. I have to admit, this was a crazy fun comic role. And the most unique one I’ve ever done.
