I slept in at the hotel. It was nice to have a lie-in, as they call it across the pond. But I would need to find something to do. My main goal was to see if I could get a cheap ticket to the 49ers game, and lo and behold...there were some really good prices. I mean it was Christmas Eve day, and they already had their playoff position set, so not the highest of demand (even though the stadium was quite packed!) I found a ticket in the front row of one of the end zones for $200, and I snatched it up. It would be good to be so close to the action! (At least when the teams were on my side of the field. Once that was settled I could relax for a little while.

But soon, I had to pack things up and check out. The hotel let me stow my bags there, which was helpful. I then took an Uber ($45) over to the stadium parking lot and got dropped off. I headed into the game and it was a blast. I did indulge in some of their overpriced beers maybe once or twice, and I got to watch the Niners have an excellent game against the Washington Red..er, Commanders. It was almost too easy. There was no suspense. Hurrah for another victory though. Brock did well.

After the game, I headed to the parking lot, but instead of getting an Uber there, I just kept walking westward and then Northwest. I knew I wouldn't be able to walk all the way back to the Hyatt, but I would get some exercise, and I was also getting to watch a really fantastic and colorful sunset. The skies were bathed in red and orange and yellow light (and that’s me saying that).

At some point I got incredibly hungry and I stopped at a Taco Bell for a few snacks which, despite being fast food, really hit the spot. However, I also had a slight problem in that my iPhone was battery was getting very low (too many pictures and videos taken during the game I guess). So I summoned Uber ($50) with an incredibly low percentage of battery juice left. If my phone is died, well...I can't even think about what would've happened then.

The Uber driver came and took me back to the hotel. I collected my bags and then took a shuttle over to the airport. I then caught my flight on Alaska Airlines up to Boise, which was upgraded to first class thankfully.

In Boise, I took an Uber ($48 + $30 for Christmas tip as it was past midnight) over to my parents home and enjoyed a nice white Christmas Eve. Yeah the snow was all over the road. First Christmas like that for me. I spent the night in the guestroom.
