I was able to sleep until 9am. I guess I was adjusting to the time change, even though I would be heading home that night. For breakfast, it was sausage and bacon with some leftover eggs from the first morning. I would have been fine skipping breakfast as well, but if it’s going to happen, it’s nice that it was carb-free.

The day was one to relax with nothing planned. We watched a few episodes of a show and then I got a ride to the airport around 5pm.

Since I was there early, I was able to stay outside a while and take in some last moments of nice Florida weather. The temperature could not have been more perfect. TSA went fast with no one in front of me. As I was definitely hungry then, I opted for a Whopper Jr. at their BK. For the size and price, it does hit the spot.

With some time left to kill, I did a time-lapse of a plane being escorted out of the gate. Took about 10 minutes, but it was cool to watch and record the full process. Then it was time to board. There was no hurry. I had the window seat so I just boarded last. I had remembered that on some planes, row 6 aisle does have limited foot storage, which could be an issue for my backpack if the middle is taken—which happened on the flight over though the overhead had space. But for window, it’s usually not a problem.

We took off on time and headed west. Obviously, no first class upgrade. I wasn’t even close as I was ninth in line with just six open seats. But premium isn’t bad either. No meal, but they gave me my double scotch and I killed time for the next six hours.

Seattle was of course cold and rainy. I checked Uber. $65! Lyft was just as bad. So nope. It would be the train for me ($3) which I had already planned on doing. The ride was a lot shorter than expected, with the train part being only about 35 minutes long (though Uber can be only 23 minutes and that’s without the walk afterwards).

At my station, I exited the way of Denny Street so I could get a burger. It was a most welcome treat after not eating for quite a few hours. Then it was home once again.
