We landed around 5:20 a.m. and after getting off the plane, my friend was waiting actually in the airport. That's pretty rare that people wait in the airport these days. We got into the truck and headed to, well, Slidell, Louisiana.

One of the first things I noticed in Louisiana was the price of gas was probably the lowest I've ever seen these days. Even compared to Idaho, it's low. Gass is just very, very cheap out there. Hard to believe it's still like in the $2 range.

We drove around to some swamp areas, just near the water, looking for gators. But there was no alligators around. I guess it's getting a little late in the season, though I did see a lot of birds in very scenic areas, and eventually we headed back to the house.

At that point, we picked up my friend's wife, Tonya, and we headed down the coastline, which is a pretty nice drive. You get to see the coast, the Gulf of Mexico, I guess, and then we ended up all the way over in Mississippi, which is actually pretty close. But it was just weird to think we're already in Mississippi.

We found a nice place along the water and it was an outdoor restaurant. Had to wait about a half hour to get a seat, but that was fine. I mean, it's just nice having warm and enjoyable weather out there. That was kind of a bonus to get away from the cold weather, especially late into November, or I guess early November, or whatever – it's November. But it was actually wonderful weather, and eating outside and to have a beer and a burger made for a very relaxing time.

Afterwards, we headed back to the house and just talked for a while. And next thing you know, we're all crashing. It was pretty early, but I was exhausted, so I would say I was asleep within about, I don't know, two minutes.

I just fell asleep right away.
