I would be heading home; I just had to wait for my ride. I was all packed up and we were leaving around 9:30 in the morning. When my ride came, we headed over to Wendy's to get some breakfast (just a breakfast sandwich for me) since I was fairly hungry, and then I got a ride all the way down to Oakland airport. I got dropped off there, yet it was way too early and there wasn't much to do. We arrived at 10:45am and my flight was 3:45pm. In hindsight, I probably didn't even need to stay at the airport. But I did have to carry around my bag and that's never easy to do on foot.

So I stayed there and found that there was no lounge for Alaska. I guess I have to go to San Francisco if I want that perk. The best I could do is find a place on the floor against the wall and just sort of nap there for an hour or so. I was able to use some of my clothes as some bit of padding and my suit coat as a blanket. When I could no longer sleep, I watched football for a few hours, and then I got a text saying my flight was delayed, which was certainly discouraging to hear. But around 4:30pm we finally boarded the plane. I received no upgrade to first class this time. I was likely the next person in line but they're just weren't enough seats. MVP doesn’t always help, except for early boarding, ensuring there would be space for my overhead suitcase.

I did some doodling and enjoyed a scotch, and in short time, we were back in Seattle. Since Uber would've been $60, I decided I needed to be smarter about money and I took the train home for all of three dollars. Along the way I just studied my Spanish, and in an hour, I was finally back in Capitol Hill. Since the line was short, I got a burger at Dick’s Burgers, and even consumed it before I even got home. The trip was now complete on the weekend was almost done.
