Travel Diary

The vacation was a fast one as I had to fly home Sunday morning. With trips done this way, I avoid using up vacation days (as they have value in case I sell them back later). Serena drove me to the airport and I saw another nice sunrise.

At the airport, I did something I don’t usually do: I bought a bagel with cream cheese. Well, I usually don’t buy airport food as well, but I was hungry and it looked tasty. Their bagels are… eh, okay. They fit the shape and texture I guess, but lack the certain authentic taste of real bagels like those from Noah’s.

My flight was upgraded to first class and I got a window seat, so I snapped photos of Florida. I decided to try a Bloody Mary for the first time in maybe decades. It was okay. Not really my favorite drink, but I also think it’s a cocktail that is best in a nice bar and not on a plane. The meal was a poached egg and sausage, plus fruit, a croissant, and yogurt. Later, I would get a scotch since I wasn’t driving. Soon, we were in Washington and I took photos of Mount Rainier. I did notice many trails on the nearby hills. I imagine it’s for some fun hiking out there. We then landed and I took Uber home.
