Saturday morning, I noticed I had bought and brought the same shirt as Serena purchased for me to wear in the show. Oops. Guess if I were a woman I’d be called Miss Communication. No matter. I’ll just keep it for my own collection.

We drove over for rehearsal at the Edison Restaurant. On the way, I noticed that boats were still marooned on dry land from last year’s hurricane. Almost 10 months later, it’s still an issue. Guess it isn’t an easy problem to solve for some folks. But it’s a constant reminder of the devastation the area faced last October.

Our rehearsal was fun. I was a little off on some lines and I think it concerned an actress, but I mentioned I had a system for memorization that was nearly foolproof. I think she was a bit dubious, although another actress said I was spot on every time so she wasn’t concerned.

Back at the house, I did dive in and really install the lines in my brain. The system does work—just takes some effort and repetition. Soon, we were off to do the show.

And the show went great. I was flawless for all lines (my system works!) and everyone did well overall. Afterwards, we took photos and greeted the guests. One young lady invited me to join her group that was partying in another room; however, I couldn’t leave my acting group. It was tempting to go sing karaoke though. We should include that during future events for the afterparty.

There was an afterparty at the home of an actress. We hung out there for a few hours and of course discussed future shows. I used a coupon I got from work for $50 of Uber Eats to order us some pizza. And it was pretty good pizza, I must say. After time, we all said farewell and went home.
