The day was slotted for rest and relaxation, so that’s what we did. No big plans. Just hang out in the pool or outside and do whatever. I swam for a while and after some time, we had a nice fire pit going, complete with some colorful additives that made the flames glow with various colors.

One thing that I really noticed was just how loud it gets out there at night. There are all sorts of critters and animals and insects just making all kinds of racket. I walked into a dark area of the backyard to really catch the noise, but I also caught some firefly lights, which was amazing to see. But I only saw too of them. I guess they are not very common right now.

We went for a stroll out to the tiny pond in the middle of the court. It’s really peaceful at night. As well, we noticed countless small frogs hopping about on the road. I imagine many will meet untimely ends from automobiles or birds of prey. Just nature doing its thing.

One fun thing was taking photos of the fire. Fire often provides incredible shots that look uncanny and amazing. We even did some slow motion videos too. Some neat clips were attained.

The fire pit activity went on until late. Only one person was even swimming at that point. It was a wonderful evening of just chilling out, listening to Pink Floyd and either talking or taking in the calmness. Just a nice way to spend the final evening.
