We got out of the house and went driving. The first stop was a bar/restaurant near Sanibel Island. The place was open air and the weather was perfect for it. The plan was to head over to the Island, although several were concerned about the heavy traffic coming back over the bridge. I hated to lose the chance to see the beach and lighthouse so I analyzed the returning traffic and the delay wasn’t so bad. The others agreed to continue onward.
The beach wasn’t crowded and parking was easy. I sent up the drone and got great footage of the ocean and lighthouse. It was nice to become braver about flying over the sea. I suppose it makes sense since the drone never had a problem about falling out of the sky and unless I made a large mistake, it could always return home just fine.
Another fun thing was all the shells. There were many impressive ones to collect—some being quite colorful.
The return trip went quite smoothly with the bridge traffic being not a big deal at all. For dinner, we all dined at a quiet Vietnamese restaurant. The pho smelled amazing, but I also knew the carb and calorie count would be excessive so I opted for a smaller sandwich. Overall, a great day.
