For Saturday, I intended to go hiking at a nearby area (even brought the drone); however, due to some ride complications, there just wasn't time for that. As I had no car, I needed to get a ride up to Napa and another actress had agreed get me up there if we left early, so yeah, I had to leave early. No matter. I was told there was hiking up there.
We reached the home of Dawn, the stage manager, and then decided to get some food at a local bar/diner. That was fine with me. It would be nice to sit and chat a while. I could go hiking another time.
I had a beer and some garlic bread which was basically all carbs, but it would be my only food for a while. Afterwards, we headed back to the house and Tina headed out to do some errands. Don and I headed over to Kinko's to print out some brochures the show. I hadn’t been to Kinko's in such a long time. In fact, I don't know why I'm calling it that as it's called FedEx now. The name was changed many years ago. Yeah, I guess it has been a while. In fact, you can even pay directly at the machines.
Then we headed over to the show. This was at some nice country club in Napa. In fact it looked pretty extravagant and expensive. Again we had a very nice green room and the performance area was also fairly big, though not into the 200s. Before the show, we tried to do some video recording and photos for publicity, although time was running out fast so we weren't able to get too much done. I even brought the drone to take a few shots with that. Was kind of fun.
We were performing “Funeral for a Gangster,” which is a show I probably have done the longest for this company, starting back around 2002. The scenes went well overall, and again, a fun experience and well worth flying back to California to be in.
Afterwards, we all went out for some food at Applebee's, and it was definitely nice to have most of the group or cast getting together. All too often we simply perform and just go home, which is never ideal when we don't see each other all too frequently, and for me, even less.
When food and drinks were complete, itt was back to the hotel for me, where I returned to 7-Eleven for some more snacks and a beer.
