It begins! I hadn’t been home even 24 hours from Idaho and was already heading out for another trip, but for 12 days instead of just one. To make things easier, I took Lyft to SODO Link station. Just saves some time and walking, even though everything I brought was on my back.

Upon reaching SeaTac, I went to the roof first and then to security. It was a fairly long wait, at least compared to normal, though way, way shorter than immigration would be for other countries. That was to come. I took the connecting trains to reach S-gate, which was a little chaotic there actually. Just not something I do often.

At S-gate, I still had a wait, so I sat far away and just let others crowd the area. To my knowledge, I still had the full row on both flights. Hurrah for that. After a while, my phone rang. Odd. I don’t get many spam calls at night. Since there was time, I tried to reverse look up the number. Well, that industry is a joke now. It almost always leads to some commercial service that makes you wait a long time and then wants money to even truly look for the number. What a racket it’s become. After the second call, I did call the number back. Turns out it was the airline gate agents wondering if I was still going to be on the flight. Odd. I said I would be right there.

I went to the agent and found out that I still needed to show my passport and get a ticket printed from them. Very well. Found out my first flight still had an empty row. Nice! About 15 minutes later, we boarded. I was on my way back to VIETNAM!
