It was a 4am wakeup, but after napping a lot the day before, it wasn’t too painful. I had an hour to prepare and then took Uber to the Link train station. About 35 minutes later, I was at the airport. My first flight wasn’t upgraded as I was on American. They did provide a nice mini champagne bottle a mimosa, so that was most welcome. Several hours later, in the afternoon, we arrived in Charlotte.
I had an hour or two to wait and then boarded my flight to Fort Myers. My seat was great just like the first flight. In fact, it was the same seat in the exit row (11D), which left extreme leg room. On this flight, I got a red wine, which I hardly touched and just saved for later. Soon, we were in Florida.
Serena picked me up and we headed back to her house. The day had been filled with travel.
