Travel Diary

Saturday

I drove to the airport since my stay was only going to be about 48 hours and the parking fees aren't too bad for that. It definitely beats sitting on the train for several hours. It was late morning so traffic wasn't too bad and there were spots left, thankfully. I took a flight to Boise and my parents picked me up at the airport. We traveled around to look at some model homes and then back home for dinner and Scrabble. All in all a nice day.

Sunday

We headed over to Owyhee Canyon, which was a nice drive through scenic mountains, following the river and eventually ended up in Oregon. Lots of great photo ops along the way, including a cool dam which was the halfway point; then we headed back home. It was another nice dinner and a few more games of Scrabble.

Monday

This was an early morning flight so we headed to the airport and I caught my flight back to Seattle. It had been upgraded to first class several days before though no meal of course. I then walked to the parking lot and got my car to drive home. A fast, but fun trip completed.
