I slept in once again, but a trip to town was needed as we all had to pitch in for a tip to the staff. Fair enough as they did a lot of work for us in terms of cooking and cleaning. One downside of the place was that it was about 25 minutes from the town so cars were needed each time we wanted to visit somewhere.

In town, I got some pesos and we all walked around a while. We also found a great place for lunch, though I just stuck with tortilla soup, but it was delicious. For beer, I opted for Coronas. I was also able to fly the drone around the beach, which is a great place for capturing footage and I could keep it over the water and not above people’s heads too much.

Sunday night was yet again another great sunset. Then it was watching some football and finally, the white elephant game. I can’t remember what I even won. Oh yeah, it was a drinking card game, which was followed by us all playing the card game, as if anyone needed a reason to have a drink.

Then it was hours of karaoke, which was enjoyed by all of us. Nobody there seemed too shy to sing in front of the crowd, and again, there was plenty of booze.

At midnight, we gathered on the balcony and toasted champagne to the new year. Out over the water, fireworks went off as a small boat had been sitting out in the water just for that purpose.

Then it was back to karaoke. We sang for another hour and a few went to bed. Then a group of us met in my room to sing for another hour—as it was two floors down and allow others to sleep.

Another fine year had come to a close.
