Another relaxing morning. There were options for the day—one being to just sit back and watch football, which isn’t uncommon for my Sunday mornings. But that seemed a shame when there is so much was out there to see. We ended up traveling south a ways to Walters Ferry, where it’s quite an interesting place along the Snake River. The little “village” features hundreds of figurines, statues, bird houses, and old buildings or displays modeled after times a few centuries ago. Definitely worth checking out.

The weather was cold and windy, so it was pretty much deserted. I’d have been better off bringing my scarf and hat with me, but all good knowledge for next time. I just wandered around and took photos. Up on a hill, I sent the drone up. It was nice to get some use of it for a change, although the wind was fierce so it was struggling for a bit.

Then it was back to the house. We had dinner and time for one last Scrabble game. Victory was mine to complete the weekend sweep. Afterwards, dad drove me to the airport.

Boise Airport was almost empty. TSA check was immediate with zero people in front of me. Another perk of Idaho. I found a nice chair near the window and studied Spanish and Music for a while.

Then it was time to board. It was a first class upgrade, and the flight had a single row, so I had both an aisle seat AND a window seat—the latter being less valuable since it was a night flight.

The flight was delayed 40 minutes and that was once we had boarded and taxied to the runway, but Seattle was overloaded so arriving flights were delayed. No matter as I was in a comfy seat. A person nearby was a bit bothered by the delay and several had to catch connecting flights, but nothing could be done.

The flight attendant did tell the guy next to me (who asked if they could at least get some drinks) that they could not serve until they were in flight, but he would take care of the man and his female companion once in the air.

And the guy did. He brought the couple several drinks and checked on them routinely. But with me, he was a bit aloof and seemed to feel it was an extra chore to worry about the other passengers. Just a very peculiar thing. If surveyed by Alaska, I would bring this up, but otherwise, no need to worry about it.

We landed in Seattle and I promptly headed to the parking garage. I considered the train but Uber was only $39 and I couldn't pass up that price. I timed it and it took only 23 minutes to get home—much quicker than the 90 minutes it would have taken if I had taken the train. A good bargain. A nice trip.
