On Sunday, we headed over to Waikiki Beach and got some sunlight, which was quite relaxing but our time was limited and we did have to get back to catch our flight home.
We checked out of the hotel, and I put all the bags in the car (or so I thought). I returned the rental car and then realized I had left a bag at the parking garage near the vehicle. It was too late to go back. The bag contained the snorkeling gear and a lot of our souvenirs which was very disappointing.
Yet, nothing could be done. We went to the airport and caught our flight back to SFO and then drove home from there.
I did later contact the hotel and ask them to mail a few of the items that were most important to me and my friend Marie, which they did. It did cost some money, but I was fine with that. It was good to have those items returned. I guess I just lost the snorkeling gear, though I could always buy that new, as it would have been more money to have them shipped from the hotel.
So my second time to Hawaii was completed, and it would be quite some time before I would visit again; however, I was eager to return.
