For this trip, I would not be heading home the day after the show, but rather I stayed and we had some time to hang out so I could see more of Fort Myers. At least until 12pm.

The first stop was breakfast at one of those health food type restaurants that seem to be fairly popular right now, even though they coexist alongside more and more unhealthy food places. It is interesting to see them in Florida though.

After lunch, we headed over to Fort Myers Beach. One thing that was noticeable right off the bat was all the devastation that still remains from the hurricane. Houses were destroyed, boats were on land, peers were washed away. It's just unbelievable, all of the destruction that occurred. A lot of places look like a bomb was set off in the area.

Unfortunately, I didn't have much time to spend at the beach. In fact, I think we're only there for about 10 minutes, where I could just put my feet in the water very quickly. I just wanted to get a feeling of what the beach was like. But then we had to drive home so I could get to work by 12 which was 9am on the West Coast. Yeah, while I was staying out there an extra day, I wasn't taking a holiday either so work was still required during the afternoon.

We hung out and chatted and had wine during the evening. One selection was Snoop Dogg's wine, which was okay but nothing too special. I did notice that the weather was still 74° at midnight. It just doesn't cool off much out there at night.
