Beach day! We got some breakfast in town and then headed south to Fort Myers Beach. This time I would be able to stay longer and enjoy it. The first stop was an outdoor bar with bench swings as seats. Pretty cool to experience.
After that, we walked along the beach for a while. I noticed that a huge pier had been wiped away by the hurricane last year. It was still on Google Maps, but no pier was actually there, just the old cement posts.
After that, we drove for a long time to reach a brewery. I guess it had moved locations. After finally finding it, we had some lunch and I got a flight of beers. Some tasty stuff. Then it was over to a spot I’d never been to: Twin Peaks.
Yeah, it’s what you expect, but not as trashy as some would think. People are polite and there seems to be more of a family vibe that one would anticipate. That said, it was still ample eye candy. They know their market indeed. We had some drinks and headed home.
It was a fine day indeed. I spent some time in the outdoor hammock and relaxed. Ah, a most fun vacation slash work trip.
