Waking up early wasn’t necessary since our blocking had been done the day prior and we didn’t need to repeat it at the Cape Cabaret. So it was a morning and afternoon of people doing whatever they liked around the house. Some watched the tele (“The Breakfast Club” was on). Some worked on the computer. And we wiled away the day.

Around 4pm, we headed to the restaurant. I of course had to point out Wells Fargo bank as we passed it. It’s pretty much a tradition now. And it’s fun since it lets me know we have almost arrived. Once inside, the green room looked good! Too good! I mean it was super fancy. Turns out it was because it wasn’t for us, but another party had booked it for a private event, which was always a possibility.

So we used the backup, and went to the green room next to the stage. For such a large cast, it was a little tight, but we made it work. And most of the time we would be in the halls or on stage. We did the usual set up and preparations for the show. There was no mic check for this show since there were no mics being used as the audience was a little smaller, though a lot of last-minute sales did make it a fairly large crowd. Mixed blessing on that one.

The show was performed and prizes awarded, and we were done. This was the second time I’d flown there for double shows and it’s nicer that way, though one is perfectly fine with me too. Otherwise, I guess I would not be doing them.

Back at the house, we had more wine and chatted. I did my porch video once people went to bed. It was just me and the cats at that point. Soon I grew tired and Sunday would be another long day of flying. I went to sleep.
