On Saturday, I missed breakfast. Probably got up around 1pm. The weather was nice, though not much to do. I met up with just Terry as Steve was pretty tired from his cancer affecting his strength and they had already eaten breakfast. At the bar, I had a drink and watched a little college football playing on the TVs.

We then attended one of the conventions at the hotel. It was a horror movie convention that Bridget was putting on. Pretty interesting stuff, though with Covid, the attendance was pretty low. Still, it was good to be supportive of a new friend’s project. We walked around the booths. I recognized almost nothing except the “Dexter Experience,” where I got up on a table and had my face “sliced” and a drop of blood on a slide. A bit silly, but still fun.

After the exhibition, we walked around the area some. Notably, there is not much to do in that part of Miami. It’s not pedestrian-friendly and hard to get around. But again, not a lot to see. No beaches there either. The beaches are about a half hour away. Got to see a drawbridge raise for boats. That was about it.

I did walk down to a store to pick up some beer and snacks. Probably due to weird outdated laws, but the strongest beer they sold was Heineken. Very well. I also got some White Castle Sliders. They were frozen but I had a microwave in the room, right? Another goofy purchase was Pop Tarts. Yeah, not thinking too clearly.

Again, not much to do in Miami downtown. We just hung out at the hotel mainly. But then hit the bar. After some time, Bridget arrived with some friends. We hung out with them for a while and eventually made our way to get pizza at some late night shop nearby. It was really the only place around for after hours food.
