Sunday, I went with my folks up to a scenic park, where we could get great photos of the lake from high up. It was a great time of year to be there with everything being quite green and picturesque. We then went to another still lake or maybe a large pond, which made for some nice shots too. Then we returned to the lodge. People were swimming in the lodge pool, so I joined them in the hot tub for a while. But time was ticking and I soon had to start the long drive back to Boise Airport.
After saying goodbye, I started up the car, and the rain was a torrential downpour at the moment. I wasn’t able to figure out the wipers too well, so I just manually kept pressing the level down. It was annoying but I guess it worked and the rain stopped after some time. Not knowing how bad traffic might be, I didn’t stop for taking photos. Pity since there were a few interesting places.
Back in Boise, I filled up the tank and drove to the lot to return the car. I checked it for damage and took photos all around it just in case issues came up. I handed over the keys and went into the airport. Overall, renting a car went very well. I may have to try it again sometime. I think the trick is that they will always try to upsell, so when pre-booking online, select the cheapest option.
I had an hour to wait for the flight so I watched the planes take off and land for a while and then boarded my flight home. First class it was. Soon I was back in Seattle and taking Uber home.
