Ah, today was Siesta Beach! Finally. We headed up the coast for an hour or two and reached a really lovely beach. It’s known for being a paradise of white sands and turquoise water, and that’s exactly what it was. I went swimming for a short time, but then had to return to the picnic table area and log into work. Yeah, it wasn’t a holiday for me, but with the time difference, I did get to enjoy some vacation time as well. Most of the time online was meetings anyway, all about GenAI and how it would change life as we know it on planet Earth.
Everyone else did get to enjoy the beach and ocean. After a few hours, we drove back to the house. There wasn’t much time left. Levi and I both had flights to catch. We summoned an Uber and then said farewell at the airport.
I was a little hungry so I got a bagel at the airport. Just a small snack. Soon, JetBlue was boarding. My ticket was economy, but as it was a smaller plane, the economy seats were only 2x2, so no middle seat to deal with.
Oh, yeah, I actually wasn’t flying to the west coast. I was flying to New York City.
