It was “lunch at the farm” day. Sort of a farm. Mainly it's just a restaurant kind of out the middle of nowhere as it was difficult to find. I like the fact that it was outdoors essentially, with screens and covering, and a perfect day for such a meal. The menu was interesting. I figured I was being comped, but I didn't want to spend too much. I ordered what looked to be a very tasty chicken burger; however, in the end, it turned out to be rather bland. Sometimes you just can never tell. We talked about various things, including how to improve one of our older shows which I have been eager to do.
After lunch, we walked around a bit and fed the donkeys which was kind of fun and amusing. There was a tractor nearby. I guess it was there for photos so of course we took some photos on it. We also noticed some wild cranes that flew around the area. That was another cool thing. Then we said goodbye to our friend Kara, and drove to one of the nature parks—Prairie Pines Preserve.
We walked around a bit, or rather I walked around. The others kind of stayed close to the parking lot. I sent the drone up and got some video of the marshes or whatever the area is. It's really more like a jungle with ponds. Then we head off to another preserve. This one was called Yellow Fever Creek Preserve, and it was pretty cool—and quite large. But about halfway down the path I noticed it had flooded so I had to turn back early. That was disappointing. Then back at the house we relaxed a little bit, but our friend Angie wanted us to come out to a restaurant that had a singer and his wife playing so we went out there for a while. The entertainment was nice and the people were friendly. I passed on food and had no beer. Finally went back and watched some Netflix for a while.
