Ah, the busy day.
Our first destination as to the Caloosahatchee River Eco Preserve. This was a nature walk area that I had not been to yet. We picked up John and headed over there. The place was nearly empty as so many people don’t seem to take advantage of their nature areas. We walked around the area for a while and I sent the drone up a bit. It was a wonderful day for being outside. Just nice weather all around.
After that, we headed back to Cape Coral, but stopped at Home Depot. I bought some spray paint as I did want to still complete my Geiger Counter prop for the show—well, for the next time the show would be done. I hated to not finish the prop. Mainly, it just needed sanding and painting. (I did manage to paint one piece, but overall, it still does need completing. There was only so much time I wanted to dedicate to that project.)
Then it was down to the lower Cape Coral area where we visited a place called Rusty’s. The area was packed with people out for St. Patrick’s Day. Luckily, we found a nice parking spot. Inside, we sat at the bar and had some beers. It was busy and loud, but fun to be part of the festive action.
Then headed headed north to another pub called Paddy Wagon Irish Pub (yeah, they would be celebrating for sure). We were able to sit outside there and enjoy some beers and great conversation. Once that was done, we grabbed some buffalo wings for dinner. We stopped at Publix for some snacks. I bought wine and veggie sticks and chocolate nuts. Good eating was lost at that point. We then returned to the house.
The evening was spent watching “Babylon” and it was a nice and relaxing evening. Sunday was probably my favorite day out there, though the Boat Show was also enjoyable. Hard to choose. Just fun to have great memories with friends.
