Travel Diary

Quick trip back to Sacramento to finish the dinner show series down there. I had performed in the opening show and was now doing the closing show three weeks later.

I flew up Thursday night. Safer that way. Sometimes I fly up the morning of the show, but that’s risky in case the plane gets delayed or canceled. Having a friend in the area meant it was no extra cost (outside of Uber) to stay an extra night. So I had used that approach both times.

I decided to drive to the airport and park there since Uber would have been $73 (possibly each way) so it was going to be about the same cost to drive, and I decided to have my own car with me. I parked on the roof which usually has good spots near the elevators. Many never consider that.

It was a quick flight to Sacramento. I had been upgraded like usual to first class. After landing, my friend Corey was kind enough to give me a ride back to her condo. Probably saved $40 that way. Once at my friend’s place, I just crashed until morning.
