Sunday, my buddy and I had opted to catch a Broadway show. 1776 was playing and I’d never seen it (or been in it) before. So that was the plan. We met up at a sports bar to get some food and beer beforehand. Then headed to the show.

While I do enjoy most shows, this one didn’t make the cut. They had a twist on things that well, sort of made a dull show even worse. It was just unwatchable after a while. At intermission, I let my friend know that I would not be returning for the second act, but would meet up after the show.

I then walked around the area and took photos. I did try to grab a beer at Applebees, but the service was among the worst I’d ever seen. The bartender just had no desire to take a drink order from me. So I just used the restroom and exited the place. After some time, the show had ended and I met up with my friend again.

Today was also the big Yankees game. I met up with my friend and we headed over to the game. Using the subway, it was easy to just head north into the Bronx and walk over from there. It was my first time to the place and I was highly impressed with everything about it. Such a magnificent building.

We got our seats and some beers of course. I avoided any overpriced snacks. Overpriced beers were enough for me. This game was a big deal since Aaron Judge was attempting to tie a record. Thus, most fans stood and recorded him every time he was at bat. I of course did too since I didn’t want to miss out on getting some historical footage, though it would not have been worth anything even if I was one of the few smart ones recording horizontally.

As the game went on, the weather changed. We had observed a fantastic sunset earlier, but now the clouds were coming in and it was soon pouring down rain. We relocated to shelter. The game was paused as well. With not much else to do, we headed to a restaurant for some food and after a while, they called the game due to the weather, which was fine as the Yankees were leading and got the W. Attending a game like that is something everyone should do at least once.

We headed back to Manhattan and said farewell. I kept walking a bit and finally returned to the hotel.
