This would be an extremely busy day, which would last over 24 hours. After checking out, I took an Uber across town to visit Moose’s Tooth Pizzeria, which was highly recommended. There, I got a table and ordered a pizza and two beers, which I nursed for a couple of hours. I also watched football and charged my phone.
When that was done, I took an Uber over to Kincaid Park where I walked around for a couple hours. This is a highly recommended place and a great way to see all kinds of nature and wildlife. I managed to see elk and moose (and their offspring) here and there. Some of them even blocked the road, which was annoying but it was their territory. I did get a little bit of drone footage. However, the drone was being stubborn due to the proximity to the airport. The sunlight was fading fast, but that also meant I got to see a really wonderful sunset and take photos of that.
Being the fall, the park was also incredibly colorful, especially during the twilight hour. Along with it getting cold, it was getting late and I had a flight to catch. Well, the flight would still be many hours away, but it was 7 o'clock and the park was near closing, so I finally summoned an Uber to the airport. Luckily, a driver was okay coming out to the park. Otherwise, that would have been an issue. And again, my phone’s battery was getting very low. I even had to charge it some in the welcome center. Eventually, the driver arrived and we headed out (I saw more moose when exiting the park). I then went into the airport. After clearing security, I headed over to the Alaska lounge, where I would be staying for quite some time.
