Travel Diary

On Saturday, I was incredibly tired so I just slept most of the day, and then got up and did a few things and then…well, then I just napped some more. I suppose I wasn't feeling too well. But in the evening I had to wake up to meet a friend that I hadn't seen in over 20 years (since the farewell of the London Study Abroad trip). I took an Uber downtown, and met my friend Heather and we had some food and then walked around the streets of Pleasanton for a while. Oh yeah, I got an ice cream once again. I figured why not. We passed by the old Firehouse Theatre, where I had done only two shows in the years I was there. Pity I didn't do more, but I did audition for a few others at least.

Oh, we also went by the old Pleasanton Hotel, where it’s now just a restaurant on the left side. Pretty fancy place now I guess. Definitely lost the old charm, but seemed to be busy. After that, Heather gave me a ride back to the hotel. We said farewell, hopefully not for another 20 years. I then packed up and went to bed. Weekends go by too fast in Pleasanton. Though sleeping all day does not help.
