Travel Diary

I slept pretty well as it had been a very long day of traveling and performing.

We had to arise around 7 AM to ensure we got on the road in time. But it was easy to pack up and head out. Well before leaving, we met in the lobby to get some coffee for the road. At least they did as I did not want to have any large liquids since we'd be on the road for several hours and then I'd be flying so it wasn't wise to fill up with too much fluid. But the other two had tried a coffee machine which we thought might've been free, but I saw there was a credit card device in the bottom so the hotel was charging for coffee. At the same time, the manager had come over and said that they had a Starbucks or black coffee option so we headed over there.

I guess the bar doubled as a Starbucks place as well and the others ordered some drinks. I passed on that apparently the drinks were not even free so I don't know why the manager said reach save money by going to that area although maybe it was the black coffee that was free. I guess I'll never know.

And then it was time to start driving south again. Once again, we passed by Oroville and the Damn exit so many memories. Then finally, we ended up at the airport where I got dropped off.

Security was extremely light and I went to my gate. This time I got no upgrade to first class so I was in the back of the plane but they were empty rows so I had an entire road to myself. It's a pretty good strategy with the only downside being you bored at the very end while I boarded at the very end and waited for virtually every other person to get on the flight since it would be less time in the seat.

The other downside is that when you disembark you're last so that adds an extra 20 minutes or so and probably over half an hour since from first class. No matter I was in no hurry.

I passed on the drink since I would be driving home back in Seattle. And just enjoyed my full row.

After landing in Seattle, I finally got off the plane and walked to the parking lot, got my car and drove home. Oh, I should say that the parking costs were about $50 and it was just really for one day and three hours, but that's just the way things work. If I had been there 47 hours, it would've been the same cost as about 28 hours with the maximum fee per day type thing it's just part of the cost of traveling even for shows.

There was some traffic on the way home, especially for a Sunday afternoon, but nothing too crazy. Anyway, it was another fun dinner show in California.
