Travel Diary

Since it was an afternoon flight, I got to sleep in. I was packed already and just waiting at that point. Around 1 PM Dad and Mom gave me a ride to the airport. I said goodbye and went through security, which was very light. Security just seems very quick recently. I was too far down in line to have any chance of an upgrade, so I was stuck in my exit row seat for the flight. They offered me a choice of chocolate or a drink, and I took the chocolate this time since I would be driving home. We landed in Seattle and then I walked to the parking lot.

After paying my parking fee ($95), the machine offered a printed receipt, which I accepted, but it took forever and at some point the gate closed and my receipt never got printed. I was now stuck inside. The lost ticket charge was about $300 and obviously, I would not be paying that. So I got all set to walk over to the valet parking lot section where people would be. But I saw a phone number listed, which I called the number and explained the situation and gave my ticket ID which they were able to look up and verify that I had paid. They then open the gate and I was able to drive home. Free at last, free at last.
