I had to wake up around 6:30am, even though it was a 10AM flight. I got ready and had already decided to drive to the airport, and park in a long-term parking lot. I definitely wouldn't be parking at SeaTac proper but a parking lot nearby, which was about $20 a day. But it was nice not to take the train. Security went extremely fast at the airport, and I had been upgraded to first class. We took off late, but not terribly delayed. My meal was a nice chicken salad which was fairly impressive, and I wasn't too full. Mimosa for my drink.

After landing at San Jose, I had about an hour and a half until the train arrived, so I decided to walk instead of taking the free bus. Otherwise, there would be nothing to do at the train station for all that time. It was a nice walk and a great day for it. I just had to drag along my suitcase. I took the 2:15pm train towards Pleasanton. This would be my third time on the Ace Rail, and for $10, it's an exceptionally good deal. The only thing that sucks is there are very few trains running each day and only one direction at a time.

Around 3:30 PM I got off in Pleasanton near the fairgrounds and kept walking. I walked along the horse track and then cut across the creek, and found myself in my old neighborhood. I went to Supercuts. It would be my annual haircut. Well, I cut my own hair the rest of the year, but I have it professionally cut to at least once a year to make sure it's somewhat even. Lucy, the lady that had cut my hair for many many years, wasn't there and the lady there said I could've come back Friday, but I didn't really want to make another trip out there, so I had her give me a haircut. Just didn’t make sense to return.

I then walked through the Pleasanton Sports Park, and checked in at my hotel. I would be staying at the Extended Stay this time. It's not as good as the Larkspur, but it's what I booked. I didn't have too long to unpack before I got a ride from Jim and we headed over to Mountain Mike's Pizza. We split a medium pizza and then just chatted for several hours. It was great to catch up.

Then I went home and got a few things done before crashing.
