I meant to get to be on time. I really did…but things happen. It wasn't really that big of a thing, but I had lost my Hulu account access and I wondered where it went, and then checked the Internet and next thing I knew it was about 2:30 in the morning when I went to sleep. Thus, when the alarm sounded at 4:30am, I wasn't in the best of shape. I was able to snooze another half hour, but that was it. I was going to be tired for a long time.

I got out the door, and then walked to the train station. No crowd at 6AM on a Sunday morning. I then saw the train was going to be about 18 minutes to arrive because ChatGPT didn't know the recent train times I guess, or something like that. It was annoying.

I then got on the train and had an uneventful ride to the airport. I barely had time to check out the parking garage roof, but I got up there for a couple of minutes and then headed to security.

Security was light—I mean very light. I think there was maybe one person in front of me or even zero but it was fast. I then had a few extra minutes to kill and finally headed to my gate (D3). I had been upgraded to first class, so I had a nice window seat and I was not in the first row, thankfully. After takeoff, I got my drink which was an old-fashioned—something strong and powerful. The breakfast was the bacon sandwich or something like that. It's actually not very good at all, and I wasn't sure if it was the same one that I didn't prior times…and it was. But it's basically some bread with cheese and egg and bacon in between it, but just not very great. In fact I left most of the bread. The protein I could use.

We landed in San Francisco and my friend Tony picked me up and we had about four hours to kill, so we drove down to San Jose and parked in a parking garage. The plan was to find some food. I wasn't terribly hungry, but there really wasn't much else to do. We stopped at a food court, which had a few options but wow…the food there was so overpriced. I guess it was meant for tourists, but it seemed like there were a lot of locals there too. I just settled with an IPA beer. It was my first IPA in a long time and I believe it gave me a pretty bad headache for a while. It was also $10 well $11 after tax, and I tipped too so $13 for 10 ounces of beer. Yeah, I don’t miss skipping that lost money.

We then walked around the downtown. There were a lot of festivities for the upcoming Cinco de Mayo and people driving down the streets with loud music and large Mexican flags. Then we headed over to the Old Spaghetti Factory, but it was still an hour early so we sat downstairs and ordered some food. I had some broccoli which was well…broccoli.

Finally, the other actors showed up and we were able to start preparing for the show. We mainly had a lot of rehearsing to do for some of the physical blocking. But then we got into costume and the audience started arriving.

We performed for the next few hours. Four scenes and 15-minute breaks between them.

It was an excellent show and quite a lot of fun. Basically the show itself was the best part of the trip. The rest of it is just kind of a headache to get to the show, so I really enjoyed the performing. But the other aspects can be kind of mentally and physically draining. It's just a lot of lost sleep and walking around, killing time and having to pay out small expenses. After the show I got dropped off at a friend’s place, and I crashed within 30 minutes.
