Travel Diary

On this day, we would be going kayaking. We drove out to Estero and found the kayaking place along the river or creek. Serena had a coupon for some tickets so it was rather cheap but normally it's $45 per person which I think is quite overpriced. But I guess if you only do it once in a while then it's not so bad. It's something to do once.

We got our kayaks and went out onto the water. We were able to go either direction so we just headed north or maybe it was south. I guess it doesn't really matter. But it was nice and scenic. You're really out in the middle of nature at that point. It looked like something you'd perhaps see in the Amazon rainforest. There were definitely a tremendous amount of fish in the water. Made me wish I had a fishing pole. We passed one person that actually did. After about an hour of paddling north, we did see a dolphin swimming in the water, which was pretty cool. It seemed like an odd place for a dolphin to be, but I suppose we weren't that far out from the sea. We headed back the other way and saw some more cool scenery. And then exited the river after about two hours. It was a fun outing but again it's something you do once.

After getting back, we just watched some Netflix and relaxed for the afternoon. It was a nice day.
