I guess it was about four in the morning when we landed in Dallas. Obviously the airport is quite empty at that hour, but people were starting to arrive for the day. I basically just walked around for a while and checked out the airport. It offered some exercise and it's something to do. My next flight would be on American Airlines so there was no upgrade for that. I think I was even in 20th place or something—I don't know. I never seem to get upgraded on American Airlines. We boarded the second flight around 8AM and I had a seat in the exit row which had plenty of legroom. There was no one in the middle seat so that helped, and a very young lady at the window seat who seemed incredibly tired and slept about the entire way. Sometimes I think the people seated in the exit row really would have a lot of difficulties should emergencies occur. But I suppose they never do or rarely do so why worry about it. The drink service was nice and I got a soda which was a full can—like a full 12 ounce can. American Airlines doesn't skimp when it comes to drinks. The flight wasn't very long and we arrived in Florida after a few hours.
Upon exiting the aircraft, I noticed that the TSA line for security was incredibly bad, like the worst I'd ever seen. The line even came out to the center area and then snaked to eat along even there. It looked like people were waiting an hour or longer. And those without TSA pre-check were likely going to miss some flights. I had to hang out there for about an hour or so since Serena hadn't arrived yet due to some complications. So I just sat inside and looked at my phone for a while. There wasn't much else to do.
After getting picked up, we headed over to the Dollar Store and bought an insane amount of candy. I had just been planning on that for a while so it was hard to not buy everything in the store. Then we went over to Publix and got some groceries there. I picked up some popcorn seasoning since I wanted to educate them on my popcorn discoveries.
Once we got home, I stowed my luggage away and got settled into my room. I was incredibly tired but was able to muster up enough strength to get through the day. John came by and visited as well as Serena's Neighbor and it was a nice evening.
