Travel Diary

It was a somewhat early flight being at 9 AM. But still meant had to get up around 6 AM and prepare to leave Seattle for 11 days. I took Lyft to stadium station and then got on the train there, saving some walking in the freezing cold.

I arrived at the airport with plenty of spare time. Security wasn't very bad at all. In fact, I'm not sure there was anyone in front of me in the Touchless line. I had no upgrade for the flight, but my seat was in premium economy and it was nice. I would have two flights to get there. After a few hours in the air, we landed at Dallas and I had to kill a couple of hours at the airport, but I just walked around and found things to do.

I then had a 7 PM flight and was in the air and heading towards Florida. Economy only for this one, but I’d selected an exit row so I had massive leg room.

We landed around 11 PM and Serena was there to pick me Up. It was nice to be back after almost a year. Not much had changed of course. The only downside was the weather was going to be fairly cold for the time I would be there. But I guess it is January even in Florida. I got sorted out in my room and we watched a little television and then I fell asleep pretty early.
