Travel Diary

Christmas morning!

Ah, so nice to spend with family. It would be a busy and fun day. I woke fairly late, but already had my presents wrapped. I did more than just gift cards this time. I don’t mind the cards, but when it’s possible to do more personal gifts, I try to steer that direction.

We had Andy, Merit and Tanner over and opened gifts with them. I got my espresso maker! That was my chosen item for 2025. Tanner seemed to like my 3D printed puzzle so I will try to make more of those. Then it was time for a game: Aggravation. An old game, but one we had never played before. I mean, I used to decades ago with grandparents. I do remember that. This was fun, and quite competitive. I lost but it was close. I believe Andy won. No Scrabble or Camel Races this time around.

After games, Mimi and her family dropped by for dinner. It was a nice time for everyone chatting. Finally, time for me to head out. Dad gave me a ride to the airport and I was soon on my flight to Seattle. This time was at least first class and no delays. They actually seem to always either be on time or board a few minutes early in Boise. My flight landed in Seattle late and I was in the dark cold to take the train home ago. Once back in the condo, time would be short since I would be on a flight to Vietnam in around 24 hours.
