Tuesday was the drive back home. We had a nice relaxing morning and then all went out to a crepes/Turkyish food place for lunch. Yeah, a little unusual of a combination, but great staff and food. That said, I really wasn't hungry at all, though I split a crepe with my friend Lia and had a regular coffee. After that was done, we said goodbye to Jennifer and Ben and the four of us drove south.
Unfortunately, the music in the car was exceptionally loud and head banging for a lot of it, but I did have my earbuds with noise cancellation, so I was saved from that. I also always carry earplugs for such situations. We each have our different tastes in music, and I also have to protect my hearing. The drive was simply down to the airport JFK, where we said goodbye to Andrew and Lia. Then Erica and I went into the terminal. I had TSA PreCheck, so my wait was only about seven minutes and it was about 20 minutes for her. Then we hung out for about an hour and chatted. When finally she went to her gate and I went to mine. I didn't have the upgrade, so I was stuck in the premium economy seat, but it really wasn't that bad. Premium economy offers a decent amount of space and at least I had the aisle seat. It was funny, but the people next to me never actually got up to use the restroom, so there wasn't even that to worry about. The flight was long, but it went by at a decent pace. I watched a little bit of the free entertainment (can't even remember the movie...oh wait. Micky 17 or something close to that) and that helped quite a lot. And soon we were landing in Seattle. After getting off the plane, I headed over to the train station and took the train the entire way back home. Then it was a walk back to the condo. Another fun Labor Day vacation and did. Last Entry
