Travel Diary

It was time for the annual meetup with the London Study Aboard peeps. I had a morning flight to Sacramento and that was an easy upgrade to first. I took Uber to the SODO station and then the Link train into SeaTac.

After landing in Sacramento, my friend Kalaine picked me up and we headed into Old Sacramento. There we went to a dive bar and waited for the others. In time, Gardner arrived and then Kalaine a while later. The whole gang was back together again.

Mainly, we drank (Diet Coke for me) and reminiscent for a couple of hours. Gardner had to depart to rejoin his wife and baby. The rest of us went walking around and found a fun place to play Table Golf, which was a little pricey but a fun experience nevertheless. I think Kalaine and I tied.

We then visited a candy store and I bought a few random pieces of candy. After that, it was dinnertime which was up top on a tall building balcony. I wasn’t hungry so I just enjoyed a soda, but we had fun watching the sunset there. Then it was a trip to another store where I bought some chocolate rice crispy treat.

Then it was time to say farewell to Raquel. Kalaine dropped me off at my hotel and departed. I checked in. It was the same place as the year before, though this time I wasn’t insanely inebriated. Yeah, I learned a lot from the year prior. I went to bed easily.
