Travel Diary

In the afternoon, we drove out to Kara’s place in Lehigh Acres to say farewell, as she was moving to New York soon. As usual, we got her garden tour. I wisely put on my sweatshirt to prevent bug bites, but I foolishly didn’t put on my pants and quickly realized that was not a good decision. The bugs were biting my legs in no time. Yeah, lesson learned—I hope.

Then we drove back to Fort Myers to visit some of Serena’s friends. We had drinks in a couple of rooftop bars, which was pretty fun. The sunset was enjoyable. I did have my sweatshirt on but I was also pretty cold. Florida nights get a little chilly that time of year. After that, it was a drive back to Cape Coral to pick up Sasha and head home. The last evening there was finished.
