The late morning was spent walking across the Caloosahatchee bridge. I guess they had just finished building a pedestrian walkway and we were trying it out. It was nice, and we had great weather. In Fort Myers, we walked a little more, but then head back over the bridge.
In the afternoon, we visited a farm, complete with horses, goats, chickens, roosters, pigs, and cows. Oh and even a basset hound. The place was fun to see, though I had wondered how costly it was to keep it all going. It’s nice to help save animals and all, but it’s just a difficult thing to do over time. Notably, the chicken eggs could at least be sold, so maybe some nice profit there.
At night we met some friends for karaoke. The first place was a German Social Club and the place wasn’t too crowded. I sang three songs there. There were several other singees signing up, but the wait times were not too long. I performed “Piano Man,” “Can’t Take My Eyes off of You,” and “Are you Lonesome Tonight.” The drinks were also very cheap there. After that, we went to a nearby place that also had karaoke. It was a bar and pretty crowded. The signup list was long with about 10 singers before me, but I got to do “Mack the Knife” finally. After that we headed home.
