Travel Diary

It was an early afternoon flight, so I slept in until 9:30am and got ready. Then I headed out around 10:45am and would take Link to the airport. I skipped taking Uber to Stadium station, but rather I walked to Capital Hill station and rode the whole way. I saved about $20 that way.

I met up with Tony at the airport and we boarded early since he could use the “extra time to board option” and I had the boarding passes since we had used my discount flight purchase. Still, there was no upgrade to first class for me, so we were in the back of the plane. But that was fine as there was no one in the middle seat. In fact, the row across from us was empty so Tony moved into that row. Certainly nice to have an entire row to yourself.

There were no meals for us, but I got a few snacks and the chocolate bar for being MVP. I also got an Old Fashioned for my drink. The flight was long, but with the full row, it was nice to be able to sleep a bit. Soon we were landing in Florida.

Serena was feeling tired, so we took Uber over to the house. Then it was time for some snacks and to crash.
