Travel Diary

Good news is that it was an afternoon flight. At 5pm, I headed out. It was Uber to Link and the train into the airport.

Security was a little long but I got into the line. About 10 minutes in, I got a notice that my flight was delayed. Well, this wasn’t good. I exited the line and started wandering around the airport. SeaTac isn’t really a very fun airport to wander around, and as I’d been there about 100 times, there was nothing new to see. I headed up to the parking garage roof. It was cold and raining, and also deserted.

After security I reached my gate and boarded my flight to Tuscan. I had been upgraded so i was sitting in 1C. First row meant I had to stow my backpack up above and my backpack as well. No issue. I just boarded in the first group. This would also be my last flight at a 100K member. I would not have the same status for 2025. I enjoyed my free WIFI one final time. The hot meal was rice and some pineapple chicken, plus a roll. Not bad.

The flight was nice and we landed in Tuscan quite late. It was my first time there. I exited the airport and hailed an Uber. The wait was about 15 minutes and it was quite cold outside, but Lyft was the same wait. After getting picked up, we headed to the house. The drive did seem rather long, although there was no traffic since it was after 1am.

I arrived quite late. No one else was awake then. I used the digital lock and went inside. There was a bed made up on the downstairs couch. I presumed that was my bed as everyone else was already there. Nothing to do at that point except get some rest.
