Travel Diary

Just a relaxing day where not much was done, aside from tripping in a construction zone. Yeah, I was heading to the gas station in the dark for a beer and didn’t see a tripod leg from a sign. Down, I went. Well, forward really but stumbling enough to lose my feet and my hands were in my coat. Thankfully, old karate training kicked in and I ended up doing a front roll. No real damage done. I was immediately back on my feet. Someone from a utility truck asked if I was okay. I said I was and thanked him for checking. My pride was damaged a little, but that was all.

Mostly all. I knew right away that my back was sore, and would be for a few days. It didn’t really hit anything on the ground. I think I just hadn’t done any rolls in years, so not really accustomed to doing that type of activity. Oh well. It’ll heal.

After the beer pickup, I headed to Burger King and got the double Whopper Jr. deal. Then back to the hotel to do some editing. It was a nice relaxing day.
