Of course I would be very tired for I woke up at 5:40 AM after getting to bed at 2:45 AM. It was three hours of sleep, but I was a lot more tired than the previous time. I took Uber to Stadium Station and then the train to the airport. I had no upgrade for this flight, for I was second in line and there was only one seat left. Oh well. We took off after 9 AM and flew down to SFO.

I arrived around 11:30 AM but my ride wouldn’t come for another two hours. I killed some time at the airport, but hated to waste my morning there so I went outside and found a shuttle bus heading to the Hilton hotel. Yes, I know I wasn't staying at a hotel, but I tipped pretty well and I wasn't taking a seat from anyone else, so I was OK with it. (I actually did go into the lobby a little bit.) Then I went outside and walked around the waterfront and enjoyed the really nice December weather. I got some photos of the birds and ducks and finally my ride came and we headed to Redwood city.

After unloading the car, we discovered that my suit had not pack so this would be a bit of an issue as my pants definitely did not look 1930s. The stage manager went on a shopping run and thankfully, a used clothing store was nearby.

Our gig was at the Redwood city Courthouse Museum, which was a really cool place. Unfortunately I didn't have time to go look at the exhibits, but they did look interesting. One issue we did have was that the client didn't provide a green room for us or at least rent one from the city, so we started out in a meeting room but were soon kicked out of there, and then tried to go into the hallway, but couldn't be there, so we really had no place to stage our costumes to prepare for scenes. Luckily, we finally got a board room after some heavy discussion. And the stage manager returned with a suit coat and slacks, so I now had a proper suit (and I guess the costume box will have a back up now).

Despite this insanity, the show went fine. Afterwards, we packed up and I got a ride to my hotel in Pleasanton. I was staying at the Larkspur. This would be the first time that I had stayed there and found it to be a lovely place. They even had cookies for guests, which I appreciated, and coffee which I really liked.

The room was fairly nice with a great kitchen area. In fact the kitchen area was surprisingly big, with a full-size refrigerator. I went over to In-N-Out Burger and found that they had some really great prices for their food, and it's incredibly well-made and prepared. I also went to BevMo and got a bottle of wine and some beer. Then it was back to the hotel. I worked on the computer a bit and then went to bed.
