Early Tuesday morning, I got up and met with my realtor Lesli to head over to the title company business place. (Whatever they call it.) It was about a 30-minute drive, but a good chance to chat.

When we got there, we were given some coffee, and then met the notary and went into an office to sign a bunch of papers. To be honest, it was quite a lot of fun, and the first time I had done something like that and really, just knowing that these would be the final signatures, and after that meeting the house would belong to someone else, yeah, that was a nice feeling.

Plus, I would simply be getting a nice payday for all the work I had done for 12 years. It was a decent profit.

After that was done, we took a few pictures and drove back to Sonya's house. My realtor said farewell and took off. I then hung out with Sonia for the early afternoon and we all went to the park with some of the kids. It was a nice time to fly the drone around and see this park that had been adjacent to my house for years. I guess if I ever had moved there, I would have been doing a lot of running in the park each week.

Then it was time to head to the airport. Sonya was nice enough to give me a ride and I was soon being dropped off at Dallas-Fort Worth Airport. Security went fairly fast and I then found myself boarding my plane to Seattle. It was another first class upgrade, which was most welcome. Oh also, the airport experience had been not as bad as I would've thought being the Tuesday before Thanksgiving.

The flight included a meal, though it was a little disappointing and definitely not as good as the Alaska Airline meals normally are. The bread was hard as a rock. Perhaps it was because the flight was delayed about 45 minutes. Hard to say. No matter. Again no drinks for me. I just had diet soda.

A few hours later we were landing in Seattle, where it was colder than Dallas, though not by that much. I walked briskly to my car and drove home.

I no longer owned a house in Texas.
