We landed in Chicago at around 5am. I would have a couple of hours to kill there. I mainly just walked around and observed things. They have lots of vending machines there selling all sorts of stuff, from coffee drinks and sandwiches to headphones and eyebrow painting kits. Yeah, odd.

Then it was time for my second flight. As it was on American Airlines, there was no upgrade (well, I was in 20th place), but being this early, the plane was pretty empty. I was in the back, but had the entire row to myself, so after laking off, I just lied across three seats and took a nap. I missed the drink option, but that was fine. A little rest would do me good.

Then we landed in Florida. The weather was HOT. Outside, my friends picked me up and we were on our way to Naples. It was a fairly long ride and I was cramped in the backset and very tired, but sometimes we suffer a bit for our art.

In Naples, we found the performance venue and then headed out to get some food. There was a nice little Italian restaurant where we ate. The food prices were incredibly overpriced, which was to be expected. But I had wine and some fries—always a great combination.

Then we went to the boat. It was nice, though again, very hot weather. We loaded up the props and went on board. What was nice was having the upper deck to ourselves. A large green room is always wonderful. We rehearsed some and I got into costume. Soon, the guests arrived.

The show went well, although the noise from the engines made the audio difficult to hear. Luckily, they had one mike so the noise complaints would not be too bad. But it was a fun show and we were treated to a very nice sunset—and some very expensive homes on the water.

After the show, we docked and packed up. Then it was the long drive back. Finally, we were back in Cape Coral. We chatted some and perhaps tried to watch a show, but even that didn’t last long as people fell asleep fast.
