Our destination for the day would be the military museum in Boise. I had read it was one of the recommended things to do in the area so we made a day of it. We drove over to Boise and checked out the place. It's run by some very welcoming and friendly people, and it has a fair amount of see.
There's an indoor building with a lot of display cases filled with artifacts from previous wars. Outside there are about three tanks, three planes, and some artillery pieces. Most of the war equipment seems to be from World War II but not all of it. Unfortunately, the day was incredibly hot – over 103°--so, the smartphones didn't last too long before getting too hot to be used. Afterwards, we headed over to my brother’s home to feed their cats and hang out for a few minutes. It's a nice house in Eagle, Idaho.
Back in Middleton, we had a nice pasta and salad dinner and went for a nice stroll around the neighborhood. Then we played Scrabble for a few hours. I think I retired around midnight. It was a nice day, though my neighbor had texted me that a shooting occurred in front of my Seattle Condo. I dislike hearing bad news, especially on vacation. But I didn’t say anything. No point now.
