I was able to sleep in a while and then woke up to do some photo and video editing. I didn’t bring any laptop or tablet, so I could only use my phone. I’ll hadve to consier at least a tablet for future travel. After a couple of hours, it was time to shower and head out on the road. No Uber for me. I would be hoofing it.
I walked to the ride carpool place on Stoneridge Road. The weather was excellent for walking and it was several miles away. Dawn and Levi met me there and we drove south to San Jose. Somewhere along the way, we stopped at Jersey Mike's for some sandwiches. I had never been there, so I wanted to try out their food. I selected a Philly cheesesteak which was overpriced but fairly good. That said, I probably won't buy anything there again. Once was enough. I’m now in the know.
In San Jose, we parked near the Old Spaghetti Factory. There were very few open spaces, but we lucked out when someone was leaving. Then we brought all the props inside. Since the show was sold out, we were performing downstairs and the performance area was rather nice for our needs. On the other hand, we really didn't have a green room, but just an area near the bar outside the show area, which was okay, though a bit challenging to prepare for scenes. The show itself went great (“Funeral for a Gangster”) with a fun crowd and most people being into it. Alas, n\Noise was a bit of an issue on one end because of the bar being so close, but that couldn't be helped.
After the show we cleaned up everything and made the drive back to Pleasanton. I got dropped off near the hotel and they continued on where to drop Tony off at the BART station. This time Burger King was open so I was able to pop in and get some food. And then I returned to the hotel went to bed rather early. Next up was the two long run days.
