This was another trip to Fort Myers. I left Thursday afternoon, taking Uber to the airport. TSA PreCheck was busy and slow, taking over 15 minutes, which was highly unusual for me. Then I had an upgrade to first class – first row in fact so I had to board early, plus I was carrying an overhead bag. The flight was nice even with the meal being rather dry and not to my liking.

I arrived around 10pm and got a ride to Serena’s. Everyone was tired so we crashed early.

Friday was a vacation day. We headed to Fort Myers Beach. I had not been in quite some time and it was much busier now than a year prior. We visited a few sites and I sent the drone up briefly. We visited Scotty’s Brewery and I had a beer once again. Or maybe two beers. It was my first drink in nine days.

Saturday was the show. We headed to the performance area early and set things up. The show was “Weddings Are Murder.” I last did the show in 2018, so it had been a while. Overall, it went well, and it was nice to be done.

Sunday was a fasting day for me. I needed to get back on track for fitness. In the evening, it was the Super Bowl. I passed on going to the party as it would be too stressful to watch the game. Smart move considering how it turned out. I just got some work done and watched “Prometheus.” Decent movie.

Monday was a visit to Powell Nature Preserve, which was fun to see.

    Tuesday was a relaxing day.

Wednesday was our performance of “Murder by Bingo,” which was at 7:30am. Yeah, first time for that. But it was for school teachers before their first class. Went pretty well. After that, we headed to Mel’s Diner for some breakfast. I was fasting at the time so no food for me. Despite that, I had no problem watching others chow down as I sipped my coffee.

When that was finished, we drove east to visit Kara and see her huge backyard. It was impressive with green and lush vegetation everywhere. Was great to see what was possible out there.

Then on the way back, we hit the Colusa Nature Center, which provided some reptiles and other animals to see. Some eagles and hawks and owls were kept out back. I did the nature trails, which were nice, although even though I covered my arms and legs, I got a few bites on my neck and hands. Those pesky insects.

In the evening, we watched the tele and crashed.

Thursday morning, I got a ride back to the airport. The traffic was quite thick out there. I guess it’s just becoming a very popular spot for people to move to now.

The flight home was first class and the meal was great. I opted for Uber once at SeaTac as it was very cold and I had no jacket.
